The “Closeness” collection is a series of kilims showing human bodies in contact. In close-up and non-obviousness. In various configurations and colors, not always consistent with those we expect.
This is not a simple closeness – we have to look closely and find it. Search between the colour spots. The kilim technique we use every day has its limitations. Just like us, in our functioning in relationships (with ourselves, others and the world). And all this in our heads and hands took the form of one huge metaphor – closeness is not obvious and simple, it is not always rosy and neat.
However, despite defying definition, it remains one of the most important issues in our lives.
